Art Alive @ 12:05 with Todd Wilkinson on artist Frank Benson

Benson - ChickadeesWednesday, March 25
12:05PM
Museum galleries
FREE for members or with Museum admission

During the long bow of Frank W. Benson's life, America fought a civil and two world wars; slavery was outlawed and two nuclear bombs were dropped on human populations; electricity, the light bulb, the automobile and jet airplanes were invented; the composition of the nation went through a major shift from being rurally inclined to the bulk of the population dwelling in cities. Still, during all of that, Benson's enthusiasm for the wonders of nature never faded. His artwork maintained a sense of vitality that was envied by admirers half his age and remains more relevant than ever.

Todd Wilkinson, who has written about art for more than 20 years, is a longtime promoter of the Museum. In addition to writing for a dozen different national magazines and newspapers, he is finishing up an authorized biography on media mogul, bison rancher, and environmental humanitarian Ted Turner. He lives in Bozeman, Montana.

Lunch available from the Rising Sage Café at a special price!  Call 307-732-5438 for details.

Generously sponsored by Lisa & David Carlin.
